We are a kill-shelter and as Laverne has stayed past our designated time period, the DSPCA has graciously and willingly accepted this pup who is truly a wonderful dog. She walks wonderfully on leash, likes other dogs, and is one that myself & my kennel staff will miss but are excited for her to obtain that forever home. through the continued efforts of DSPCA. Please contact DSPCA to inquire about meeting her -- 845-452-7722. Laverne is wonderful walking and meeting new people on our many walking trails nearby. She lets children and folks with special needs stop and pet her. When other dogs bark and lunge on the walkway, Laverne calmly waits and walks on by without any adverse interaction. She settles well in the van for the car ride. Laverne is a leggy lean beauty medium in height. A loving dog that one can hug and kiss.
